Objective: To teach students to understand the peoples of the world and their achievements from early times by studying the social, political, economic and cultural developments of humanity.
Description: These lesson plans explain the prehistoric age of mankind, the beginnings of civilizations, the creation of the major religions, the formation of the various types of governments and cultures that have dramatic influence on our society of today.
Purpose: Using critical thinking skills, students are presented real-life experiences of the history of western and non-western civilizations in order to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the connection between the past and the present.
